Schools.
Schools are the backbone of the Go Gold Day campaign. By empowering their students to raise awareness and empathy, schools affect change throughout their communities. Go Gold Day started in 2017 at Southside Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida, after the school said goodbye to two students, Benjamin Gilkey and Avery Rann, earlier that year. Since then, Go Gold Day has grown exponentially, involving more schools, more kids taking a stand, and more big change.
