One day.
Big change.

Go Gold Day is an annual kid-powered initiative to raise awareness and support for children facing cancer. Celebrated on the last Friday in September, Go Gold Day empowers kids to stand up for and with their peers, to show compassion and empathy, and to be part of the solution: research. Go Gold Day is just one day. But it can create BIG change.

COUNTDOWN UNTIL GO GOLD DAY!
About Go Gold Day

Go Gold Day began at Sarasota’s Southside Elementary in 2017, after the school said goodbye to two students, Benjamin and Avery, who died of cancer earlier that year. Since then, Go Gold Day has grown exponentially, involving more schools, more kids taking a stand, and more big change.

Where the Money Goes

Go Gold Day is an awareness campaign to empower kids, and fundraising is an important piece of the event. Less than 4% of all federal cancer funding goes to children, so many clinical trials rely on philanthropy to help find new solutions and treatments. The money raised on Go Gold Day goes to The Benjamin Gilkey Fund for Innovative Pediatric Cancer Research at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
